How have blogs and the internet changed the way news is reported?

Blogs have become something more than social networking over the past coming years. With sites such as "Tumblr" allowing people to post whatever is on their mind is a cool way to let ones voice be heard. These blogs are usually written in a stylish manner according to the personality of the individual. However, the time are changing once again the process of blogging is being changed. Various news are always showing up in all different types of blogs. With people straying away from the print industry and focusing more on the internet one may agree that this is a smart idea. Most people do not care how they get informed but more how fast they are informed. With both personal and professional blogs people have the choice to decide what kind of source they want to get their information. Someone with democratic views may follow someone with a bias spin on an event and hear a more democratic side of the story. Some people may like this while others may just want to hear the story in a straight forward manner. This is understandable but, the fact the people are given a choice may be the reason why man are turning to blogs. I believe that the news will hold a rightful place in television but the internet is slowly becoming a popular alternate choice.
