How has mass media technology changed the way audiences are entertained?

Mass Media has undoubtedly changed the way audiences are entertained. There has been such a drastic metamorphosis over time from the radio to the new "Google Television" coming out within the next coming months. Today's society is focused on entertainment in terms of instant gratification and realism. With new "Instant Netflix" and "Google Television" families can watch full feature films in High Definition from a vast library of new movies. This is quite innovative as it goes above and beyond the concept of "On-Demand" which requires one to pay for each movie and with little selection. As for realism, this past year 3-D movies have blown up the box office. Between "Avatar" and "Jackass 3D", Three Dimensional movies do not stop at certain genres. In order to support this new way of viewing film, there are now 3-D televisions sets to endure the upcoming phenomenon. Entertainment companies have now announced that they are releasing 3-D television sets that do not require mass audience to wear glasses. This new technology is quite amazing and society is going to impressed time after time again. The evolution of the entertainment world is moving at an alarming rate and soon many will not be able to keep up with these drastic changes.
