Mass media technology has started a new era in entertainment. Story telling and card games are now a thing of the past. Mass media technology has changed everything. If someone wants to be entertained they can turn on the radio, the TV, or go see a movie at the theaters. There are so many different forms of media now that audiences have no trouble finding entertainment. Also, these forms of entertainment are becoming more and more convenient. You use to have to go to the video store to rent a movie. Now you can rent movies directly from your TV. Everything has become so advanced and also convenient. In some ways this change in the way audiences are entertained could have some negative effects. Plays and playhouses have taken a hit in profit. Not as many people are interested in going to see plays when they have the convenience of a TV right in their own home. Overall, the way audiences are entertained has changed entirely. They are now the receivers of entertainment and no longer have to put any effort into entertaining themselves.
